Love these knives! Unfortunately, the handles are different colors and you won't know if they match until you receive them. If you are purchasing them for use as sets of two or three, it might be important. They don't look all that great on the magnet strips when one or two are black and the others are brown -- even light brown. I had to purchase way more than planned to make up sets of 2 or 3. You WILL love the knives, however.

Beautiful design inspired by ancient axes, the knife seats perfectly in your hand. Balance is flawless giving the user absolute control of the curved blade to perform smooth, even cuts effortlessly. The hefty blade eases into the toughest of unprepared meats, vegetables, and if needed, undesired company. I purchased this knife less than two weeks ago, and keep looking for reasons to use it! So far it has reminded sharp with no noticeable dulling of the edge.

I love the feel of the knife, but it has taken just a tad bit of time to get used to the mechanics of the instrument. This is a quirkily handsome blade. It's brut de forge styling is striking, especially alongside it's idiosyncratic but still useful shape. The overall impression is of good quality and attentive manufacture. The balance is well thought out and executed. It is likable, fits one's hand smoothly, and should find a place in many kitchens where a cleaver is useful.
This is, I should emphasize, NOT a dicing or slicing blade. While its edge is sharp, indeed, its geometry is (clearly intentionally) too oblique for fine chores, such as vegetable prep. It serves its function in BIG cutting chores: breaking down large cuts of protein, probably even splitting bone.
Overall, it's a nice knife at a fair price, one that does what it should be expected to do without fuss, muss, or bother. I like it not only for its good construction, but also its funky shape. It's just cool.

Knife is heavier than I thought it would be but has great balance. Came delivered with an extremely sharp blade. I have only used it a couple times but has sliced through meat with ease. Curved blade made dicing garlic easier as well. In short, I'm a fan.

I love this blade!
The curvature of it makes short work of cutting and chopping veggies. The edge had to be touched a little to bring out the magic, but not like other knives. It stays sharp, and I'm familiar with the steel. I've sharpened and straightened blades for competitors and they always came back to me dull because they tried it themselves.. This blade holds its edge through tough work...Bone-in pork chops, dis-jointing full chickens, rocking the blade through thick cuts of beef, it does it effortlessly. Your blade has toppled some fine German-made Solingen Steel knives (which are in the block), and even pushed above most Scandinavian blades. This product impressed me to the point that I've bought a full complement of your knives for my wife, and she's a heavy hitter when it comes to cleaving. Time to dress the knives in the block and pass them off to a new couple. BTW, your knives hang on a wall on two separate magnetic holders, so all she needs to do is grab, cut, rinse with a little soap and hang them back up. She turns her nose up at the ones in the block......and I keep the block knives sharp. She's SPOILED now, thanks, lol.
