My first gator was not up to par. Coolina made it right and sent me another one in 1 week. That Saturday I cut my finger, it was so sharp. It's called the gator, but I call it daddy's bad little mother effer! Let's go!

Gator is a great knife

First, I was shocked and dismayed when it arrived, in fabulous, I mean premium, packaging. The dismay came when I opened it. I have ordered 5 knives in total. 4 of them came wrapped in cellphone wrap to protect the blade. There was no cellophane wrap on the Gator. Only a slip on piece for the handle and another for the blade. It wasn’t advertised as used. I thought I was purchasing new knives. Anyway, I washed off the BBQ sauce and used it to slice up a 20 lb piece of beef brisket. It cut right through it like the commercials. It’s as sharp as advertised and the blade heft really helps slicing through tough pieces w the fascia sheath holding it all together. With a normal butcher knife sawing and a lot of elbow grease are required to get through the fascia sheath. I make knives so I believe I know a well made knife when I see one. These are all well made. Cutting this chunk of brisket wasn’t much harder than slicing through the plastic wrapper containing it.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship. So sharp they are scary! Definitely worth it. The amount of work and attention these knives have can only be noticed once you use them. Absolute perfection.

Love this knife.

This thing was shaving sharp out of the box, I tested it. It works great for chopping vegetables. It cuts effortlessly, the weight of the knife will almost cut through a potato, very little force is required to make the cut.

The Gator is just what I needed. A sharp knife that feels good in the hand, very versatile. I am still figuring out how to use the Shark one, its a little different. I think it might be good for hunting, like for skinning deer or bear. Looks very cool, will see how it works out. Thinking about the shark one. Thank you for great knifes.

We now have 9 knives I add the Gator to our set. Love them all supper sharp quality knives. Well balanced with the right handle for each knife. My son was so impressed with the knife I started sending him a few so he can start collecting to.

BEWARE!! This beautifully crafted masterpiece could cause need for kiddos bandaid when reapplying oil! Razor sharp no doubt! These knifes are bad to the bone… luckily not to my bone!

the only knife that didn’t come with a full blade guard. sliced my thumb like a scalpel putting the tip guard back on. looks cool performs incredible.

I bought this knife & one other for my son-in-law as a Christmas present. He loves really good knives. He let me know that these do not disappoint. They are the sharpest knives he has. He even has a new cut because of playing cowboy samurai because of the finger holes. He wasn't cut bad & the fajita meat cut up after taking care of his bobo.

Haven't really had a chance to work this yet. The design is excellent. The ergonomics are perfect for me. As I would expect with this type of steel it is amazingly sharp. Eat your meat like a man, get the Gator! Sliced through this NY strip like butter! I was worried about the size, but it fits in the hand like a glove . Best steak knife I've ever owned. Bought a bunch of them and plan to make a few friends really happy this year.

The knives arrived quickly and well package. I used the Gator the first day I got it and it is razor sharp! No joke please be careful because I was cleaning it with a soft sponge and after a few passes I notice paper thin slices of sponge in the sink!!! Knife feels good in my hand. I purchased these for gifts. But I will have to reorder for myself.

I find this knife to be incredibly sharp. I used it to cut the bully sticks I get for my pups as a comparison to other knives that I have used for the same task. This chopped through the bully stick and fractured the plastic cutting board I was cutting them on. for $99 it certainly seems great. Lets see how the edge holds and how it performs over time. Only thing I was disappointed by was the lack of a sheath or case to store it in. Damn thing is so sharp I am afraid to put it in my knife drawer!

That’s one sharp Som-bitch! I’m a native Floridian and been handling knives for over fifty years. The feel in your hand is amazing, cutting is effortless, rarely needing to slice. It just pushed through a tomato with no effort, and onions it walked through them like butter! But the best was how thin it would cut meat,(brother-law portions, lol). Everyone else was impressed with how it managed everything from fix’n a salad, to slicing the prime rib, or steak. A joy to wheel around, but be careful when using! Like I said,”That Som-bitch is sharp!” Definitely ordering again, so many to choose from, not to mention Christmas gifts! I know that would be a hit, ‘cause of the looks I was getting using mine!
