01

It cuts like butter

That's the thing owners say most. It goes through meat with almost no push.

It comes sharp and it stays sharp. The edge holds up through fat, skin and bone.

02

Heavy in a good way

The steel runs all the way through the handle. That puts the weight in your hand, not out at the tip. It's heavy enough to push through on its own.

Put a finger through the hole and your hand sits right over the blade. The knife goes where you point it, and your hand doesn't ache after a big job.

03

The one everyone asks about

Take it to a cookout and it becomes the thing people talk about. That comes up more than anything else owners tell us.

Every Gator is shaped and finished by hand, so no two look quite the same. Most people leave it out on the counter instead of in a drawer.

Made by hand in small batches. Once it's gone, more takes months.

Nobody buys a knife

Because it looks sharp

Any knife can cut paper. That doesn't tell you much. These three things do.

01

Is it still sharp in six months?

Every new knife is sharp. Cheap ones go dull fast. Good steel stays sharp.

02

Can it cut real meat?

Paper is easy. Fat, skin and bone are not. That's the real test.

03

Will your hand hurt after?

Holding a knife for 10 seconds is easy. Cutting a whole brisket takes 40 minutes.

Straight answers

About the knife

Is it really that sharp?

Yes. That's why we showed you videos instead of just saying it. It comes sharp and it stays sharp. If yours doesn't, the warranty covers it.

Is it too big for every day?

No. The blade is 7.6 inches, about the same as a normal chef's knife. Owners use it on everything from a steak to a whole rack of ribs.

What is the finger hole for?

Control. It moves your hand forward, right over the blade. It also stops your grip sliding once your hands get greasy.

How do I take care of it?

Wash it by hand. Dry it. Don't leave it wet in the sink. No dishwasher. It's stainless steel, so you don't need to oil it. That's the whole thing.

Why does it sell out?

It's made by hand, a few at a time. A batch takes up to 3 months. When they're gone, we wait for the next batch too.
